Exhaust leaks can come from anywhere in your vehicles exhaust system. One of the more common exhaust components that need replacement is the flexpipe.
Not all vehicles have them, but most front wheel drive (FWD) and all wheel drive (AWD) vehicles do. A flexpipe is exactly that, a flexible piece of pipe made of a bellow and mesh designed to flex. Flexpipes add flexibility in stress prone spots on your vehicles exhaust system. Overtime flexpipes wear down, eventually break, and require replacement. If your vehicle is loud at startup or while driving, there is a good chance the flexpipe could be the cause.
