Exhaust manifolds bolt directly to the cylinder head, with a gasket sandwiched in between. Unfortunately, over time exhaust manifolds can crack, or gaskets can become worn out causing an exhaust gas leak. Some Symptoms include: loud exhaust noises, loss of power, exhaust odors, and a loss of MPG. If your car is experiencing any of those issues, you should have it checked out.
